365 DAYS UNTIL WEDDING!

OK. Here I go.

So many of you probably think the idea is completely nuts! I think. But I hope it will come across as a sincere deliberation rather than some idiotic wishful concept set up for failure. As of April 24, 2010, I am married to the most wonderful man. We have been through a lot for the past 4 years and I know being married to him is the smartest decision I have made thus far. However, our story is somewhat unique. Though we are married as of April 24, 2010, we did not have a wedding ceremony or reception. Rather we were married by the JP at the court and had a nice dinner.

I know every girl dreams about that perfect wedding. I dreamed of that perfect wedding. But dreams are relative. Mine didn't happen the way I hoped it would, but I am determined to make it happen....with everyone's help. Today, my husband and I decided we will have our dream wedding reception in 365 days. We have set the date for May 7, 2011.

Here comes the SILLY idea. The reason why we did not have a wedding reception is because we are two poor college students. Both of us are paying our way through college while assisting our family with their financial burdens. It gets extremely expensive and tight. We are hoping that with everyone's help, we will have enough money to have a reception we hoped for. For the next 365 days, I will be blogging about our "WED1CENT", 1 cent donation from believers like you to help us plan our dream wedding reception. I know this idea is silly, but I do hope that somehow it can come true. You are probably wondering what is 1 cent going to do. I know it takes a 100 cent to make a dollar, but this is not about the money. I want to make this a motivation/inspiration for each week to write about my progress, the feeling, and joy in putting forth this plan. Also, once this is done I will still have the whole 52 weeks of memories/write up to treasure and look back upon.

Each week I will write about the progress I have made in preparing for this wedding reception. I am oddly excited as ever. This is the first blog I have ever written. It would be great if I can get some response back from readers like yourself. If this idea is really CRAZY, please tell me. I hope to get some opinions and support from everyone.
